DIY- How to do your own decorative vases: Inexpensive and beautiful

One of my friends is getting married at the end of November, and since she and her fiance are college students, the had to be creative with the wedding budget. The used a venue on campus, that's free for students, some of their friends offer to pay and do the catering by themselves, the bride's cousin offer to pay the cake, and her dress was on sell!, everything was going perfect...except for the decoration.

We thought about something simple, but elegant. The good thing about simple decoration is that it could be elegant, but at the same time completely inexpensive. So we decided to do beautiful decorative vases ourselves.

MATERIALS:

Glass vase.
Glitter.
Regular white glue.
Brush or a sponge
Old newspapers
Any type of tape.
Any type of candle (optional). You can use instead LED tea-light candles (some venues doesn't allow real candles).

We are going to use LED candles, because our venue doesn't allow real candles

STEP 1
Use the tape to create a line that will delimit how is the glitter going to be set up in the vase. Use the tape to create different designs.

STEP 2
Use the brush, or the sponge, to spread the glue on the vase. You can pour some glue on a bowl before.

STEP 3
Now is time to use the glitter!!! Right after you spread the glue on the vase, you're using the glitter. We strongly recommend you to use glitters with light colors.

While you`re sprinkling the glitter in the vase, do it on top of a newspaper, you could save glitter, and time when cleaning up.

STEP 4
Let it dry for at least an hour. You'll notice that the white color of the glue starts fading. You can use this time to clean up a little. (We used this time to chat).

STEP 5
Now the best part!. After the glue is completely dry, remove the tape, and you're done!. You can add the candle or just leave it without it.

And voila!

Cute, inexpensive, and versatile; you can use then for decorate your house, or just for a romantic dinner at home. Please post your questions on the comment section.
